Frequently Asked Questions

Are pets allowed?

Sorry, no pets are allowed.

Who has to pay admission during the fall festival?

To enter a wristband must be purchased. All visitors ages 3 and above must pay admission if they want to enter the farm area. Even if you don’t feel you will be personally participating in any of the farm activities you must pay admission to enter beyond the ticket booth. Ages 2 and under are free with a paid admission. If children 2 or under want to ride the ponies they can buy a pony ride pass for $1 that allows them to ride all they want. We also offer a special Grandparents pass that only adds $6 to any normal priced admission ticket.

Do you accept credit and debit cards?

Yes, we accept all major credit and debit cards.

What happens when it rains?

We do not shut down because of rainfall unless there are dangerous conditions such as severe storms or lightening strikes. But there is no doubt that some of our attractions have to stop if wet conditions make them dangerous. While we do not offer refunds we do issue rain checks in the case of inclement weather.

Do I have to sign a waiver to attend?

Yes. You can sign a waiver online as part of the process of buying an online ticket. If you plan on buying your ticket at the farm you can sign a waiver then.

Is there food available at the Farm?

Yes! We have vendors that offer everything from nachos and specialty hot dogs to hamburgers and fresh squeezed Lemonade. Most food venders accept credit cards, so just ask at the ticket booth upon arriving.

How long does it take to do the maze?

The corn maze is about 8 acres big and has between 4 and 5 miles of pathways. You can plan to do substantial walking. The average person can figure out the twists and turns in about 30-45 minutes – but some people can take much longer than that.

How does the pumpkin patch work?

U-pick pumpkins are available from the pumpkin patch for $6 each – WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. We plant more pumpkins every year but we never seem to have enough. If you want to take home a pumpkin it is a good idea to attend as early in October as you can. The pumpkin express or the hayride will take you to the pumpkin patch. You don’t have to pick your own pumpkin, we have some already picked as well.

Is there a charge for parking?

No

Can I bring food and drinks to the farm?

No, not usually. We allow schools to provide lunches when they come on a field trip. We do allow people to bring a cake to the farm when they have a birthday party. But outside food & drinks are never allowed during our fall festival or for birthday parties.

Can I book a birthday party at times other than during the fall?

Yes. We host Birthday Parties and other private events all year. To schedule visit our birthday party page or call 318-703-2870

How far is DixieMaze Farms from Shreveport?

About 13 miles depending on where in Shreveport. Go north on I49 and take exit 223. Turn right and go 2.3 miles – you’re there!

Is DixieMaze Farms wheelchair accessible?

Many areas are. We provide a wheelchair accessible restroom. Large battery powered wheelchairs do not do well in most areas, especially the corn field.

If I cancel a birthday party do I get my deposit back?

Deposits are refundable except within 14 days of your party unless we cancel your party. If we have to cancel your party due to some unforseen reason we will refund all of your deposit. While deposits are non-refundable within 14 days of your event, you can apply a deposit to any other product or service at DixieMaze Farms within one year of canceling your party.
